Vintage French Moustiers Faience Wall Plate, Hand-Painted Bird with Pierced Lattice Border, Signed

Hand-signed Moustiers faience plate. It has a pierced lattice border touched with ochre and, at the centre, a stylized bird in flight among floral branches, with an insect drifting in at the edge. It is painted in the cobalt, moss green and honey yellow that Moustiers built its name on, and the painter left plenty of white glaze around the motifs, so it reads lively rather than crowded. There are no chips or cracks, only minor glaze wear from age.
