A Louis XVI giltwood mirror, carved and gilded by hand in 19th century France, its crest two hunting horns crossed and tied with a ribbon bow in a wreath of laurel. The water gilding is original, warm and honeyed, with the red bolus showing through where the gold has worn thin on the high points. The glass is the original plate too, with the workshop's mark scratched into it by hand.
