Antique Chinese Carved and Gilded Wood Panel with Flower Vase and Original Red and Green Paint
Antique Chinese Carved and Gilded Wood Panel with Flower Vase and Original Red and Green Paint
Verfügbarkeit für Abholungen konnte nicht geladen werden
Carved Chinese wood panel worked in relief and gilded, showing a flower vase, trailing foliage, a scroll and small animal figures, the old emblems of prosperity, harmony and good fortune. What sets it apart is the original red and green painted ground behind the gilding, which most panels like this lost long ago to repainting or stripping. The tool marks still read in the foliage, and the original marking on the back is left as found. Note: the last photo is for size reference only, and the other objects shown are not part of this listing.
