Three small opera masks, carved by hand in hardwood and polished to a warm sheen, each a different character type drawn from Peking Opera. The facial lines are cut deep and the beards run like ribbons, so each face reads at once, in wood rather than paint. Hung together they make a small cast, and any one of them holds its own alone.
