French Art Nouveau floor lamp with four wrought iron arms (fer forgé) curving out from the central column, each ending in a tulip shade of hand-blown pâte de verre. The bordeaux-orange glass gives a warm, low light, closer to firelight than lamplight, and finely modelled bronze leaves and stems twine up the column. Lamps of this calibre rarely come up, and it has been rewired with a discreet modern switch.
