Hanuman comes at you with fangs bared and eyes wide, which is rather the point. A large 75 cm Balinese carving of the monkey god, cut by hand and finished in polychrome that has weathered far better than fresh paint ever could. He stands in a hero's pose on a lotus and scroll base, the black and white poleng cloth tied at his hips and his crown and mane carved curl by curl.
