Two ceremonial elephants in heavy cast stone, walking in step, with enough weight to hold a shelf of serious books. The modelling is much finer than small cast stone usually manages: fringed blankets, floral medallions, studded straps and tasselled headdresses, set off by scrolling relief borders on the L shaped plinths. The bronze patina has aged evenly, warm in the hollows and lightly worn on the high points.
